Bikes and life skills go hand in hand

Fox Factory is headquartered just outside of Atlanta, GA, so we have intentionally identified nonprofit partners in our local area to support through Trail Trust. We were excited to get connected with Bearings Bike Works, a nonprofit that invites kids to earn a bike of their own while developing the skills necessary to successfully transition into adulthood and the workforce. Bearings uses bikes to provide hands-on learning opportunities for kids to develop skills: mechanical skills, soft skills, and character strengths. Although the prospect of earning a bike is what draws kids to the program, the excitement of learning new skills and being a part of a community keeps them returning, week after week. Bearings also has a youth mountain biking team that competes as part of the Georgia Cycling Association.

Bikes and life skills go hand in hand

Fox Factory team members recently volunteered and participated in the annual Bearings Bike Works Bike-Along, an opportunity to get out and ride, walk, or run to support their programming in southwest Atlanta. Some of our employees also had the opportunity to visit the Bearings Bike Works bike shop and see their programs in action. It was inspiring to see these kids get excited about bikes and enjoy the sport that we all love.
